After Vice President of Hilfiger Denim saw only 2 photos of my work, he introduced me to his Creative Director. The VP apologised for his busy schedule and left the room to attend another meeting.
The assignment was to photograph Marky Ramone, the brazen former drummer of the legendary punk rock band ‘Ramones’ in Amsterdam and Barcelona. Marky Ramone launched the Hilfiger Denim ‘Rock Scene’ collection, which was inspired by Ramones, in both cities.
After this incredible assignment, several portrait photo shoots for Hilfiger Denim followed. These photos, together with the Marky Ramone series, are on display in the Tommy Headquarters in Amsterdam.
